The Cheshire Performing Arts Academy is thrilled to open its doors and begin offering classes this upcoming 2015 – 2016 season! We have been working diligently throughout the off-season to establish what will soon become central Connecticut’s premier performing arts studio, and are excited to start accepting student registrations for the summer 2015 season.
This registration process will assist us in planning and organizing the upcoming dance season, and ensure that we are able to provide our families with the best experience possible. Please review the information below and fill in all the necessary fields. As always, you can email us at info@CheshirePerformingArts.com if you have any questions or concerns.
Schedule & Tuition
The summer schedule will consist of two four-week sessions beginning June 22nd and running through August 21st, with a one week break between July 19th and July 25th (please see attached schedule for details). It is strongly encouraged that all students attend summer sessions. However, for students planning to audition for the CPAA Competition Team, the summer sessions are mandatory. The summer requirements do not include pre-pointe, pointe, or hip-hop, but these classes will be offered (please see section below).
The summer registration fee is $25 (non-refundable), but will be directly applied to your summer tuition bill of $45 per week-hour, per session. This fee is due upon submission of this form. For example, if your child is in Level A (3.5 hours/week), your tuition would be $157.50 for each four-week session. A drop-in rate of $30 per individual class is available to those who don’t want to register for the full session. Tuition is due June 17th for Session I, and July 22nd for Session II. Attached is the summer schedule which can also be found on our website and Facebook page. Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit card (details below).
Pointe, Pre-Pointe, & Hip-hop
These optional classes are available during both summer sessions, as we always encourage our students to challenge themselves with various types of dance styles. The same tuition rate of $45 per week-hour, per session applies to all of these classes.
Pointe is open to students age 12 and over who meet any of the following criteria:
- Previous point experience
- Completion of pre-pointe introductory course
- Personal assessment
Pre-Point is open to students age 12 and older with at least three years of ballet technique experience. This course is intended to introduce the mechanics & technique of one of the oldest forms of dance, and prepare students for the transition into more advanced pointe classes.
It is important for us to build diverse, well-rounded dancers here at CPAA. The summer hip-hop program is a fun, upbeat, and high-energy class open to students ages 7 and older. There will be two levels offered during each summer session.
- Intermediate hip-hop: ages 7 – 11
- Advanced hip-hop: ages 12 and older
Please indicate below in the payment section if you are interested in any of these optional classes.

CPAA is proud to offer solo instruction this summer to all prospective students. Tuition will be $30 per each half hour lesson, and is payable the day of. Solos can be set up for weekly, biweekly, or monthly recurrence.
